MMCA Residency Changdong run by National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, is now accepting applications for the International Artists Residency Program 2015.

■ Residency session: please choose only one session
○ 6months
- 1st term: 14 January - 24 June, 2015 (3artists)
- 2nd term: 1 July - 9 December, 2015 (3artists)
○ 3months
- 1st term: 14 January - 1 April, 2015 (3artists)
- 2nd term: 8 April – 24 June, 2015 (1artist)

■ Eligibility for Application:
- Applicants must be established individual artists who are over 25 years old.
* Only individual artist available, not duo or team. Work partner, assistant, spouse and family member are allowed for day visit only.
- Artist who has not previously participated in a program at MMCA Residency (Changdong/ Goyang).
- Proficiency in English (required)
* In 2015, UNESCO-Aschberg Bursary Programme is suspended for undetermined period.
If you plan to apply UNESCO-Aschberg Bursary Programme, please apply to this program.
■ Benefits for selected artists:
- Private studio including accommodation space inside (free of charge)
- Opportunities for exhibition at studio gallery
- Visiting program, seminar and cultural excursion
- Allowance: KRW 1,000,000(USD 900) monthly basis
(totally KRW 6,000,000 for full 6months resident artists and KRW 3,000,000 for full 3months resident artists)
* Amount of allowance could be decided by resident period

- Online application center will be shut down on 18:00 in Korean time 17 October, 2014. are expected to be flooded within 5 days before deadline 17 October and it can cause overload and error. We request applicants to apply in advance. Failure to meet deadline unacceptable under any circumstances.

3. Portfolio
- Up to totally 10 works in the form of digital files(image in .jpg, .pdf format/ video or sound in .avi, .mp4 format).
- For video and sound works, each file within 5min. and links to the website not accepted.
4. Statement including description of portfolio works(title, year, medium, size and 2~3 sentences of brief description)
5. Preplan including the anticipated outcome during residency period
6. Letter of Recommendation

- Contact(email, phone) should be included
- The letter must be signed by the recommender
■ Selecting process and Notification
1. Reviewing all applications
2. Notification of successful candidates in the middle of November, 2014
3. Interviewing(online, English) candidates only in the end of November, 2014
4. Notification of final successful artists in the begin of December, 2014
